The idea is to then share this information\nwidely. If you can contribute to this please contact Gaia (gaia.bertarelli@ec.unipi.it<\/a>) and Denise (denisebritz@gmail.com)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Webinar-<\/em><\/strong> <\/em><\/strong>COVID19\nSurveillance<\/em><\/strong> Surveys<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A group of International Association of Survey Statisticians\n(IASS) members is organizing an upcoming webinar on “SAMPLE SURVEYS ON\nCOVID-19 PANDEMIA AROUND THE WORLD” with a provisional date of Wednesday,\n24 June 2020 at 1:00 pm (CET). The webinar aims to showcase examples of how\nnational organizations are taking measures to collect data on COVID-19 using\nsurveys. The moderator will be Denise Britz do Nascimento Silva (IASS\nPresident) and there will be presentationd from representatives of several\ncountries (provisional country list: Australia, Brazil, Cuba, Italy, Spain,\nUK). Further information about panelists and the platform to be used for the\nwebinar will be reported in a subsequent communication\/email. The webinars are\nopen to all. The focus is on short courses that promote continuing\nprofessional development and go beyond our usual statistical capacity building <\/p>\n\n\n\n IASS Representation<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The\nIASS Executive Committee has appointed James Chipperfield and Danut\u0117\nKrapavickait\u0117 to the ISI’s Publication Committee. Terms of reference are\navailable via the link: Maria\nGiovanna Ranaili has been appointed to be the IASS representative on the WSC Short\nCourse committee<\/p>\n\n\n\n Conferences<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Due to the corona virus pandemic some conferences have announced\npostponements, changes to format (from an in-person to a virtual conference) or\nsuspended registration. Other conferences are in the process of doing so. Where\nthis information is available, it has been noted below. It has been postponed.
