Workshop on Survey Statistics Theory and Methodology

The Baltic-Nordic-Ukrainian (BNU) network on survey statistics is arranging the Workshop on Survey Statistics Theory and Methodology, in Tartu, Estonia, August 23-26, 2022.The network includes members from Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine. The aim of the network is promotion of survey statistics via education and exchange of knowledge and experience among teachers, students, researchers and practitioners. The  Workshop is organized by the BNU network in collaboration with University of Tartu and Estonian Statistical Society. They are the administrative organizations of the workshop. Organization committee is chaired by Imbi Traat (University of Tartu), program committee by Risto Lehtonen (University of Helsinki).

The program includes four keynote lectures, approximately 10 invited lectures and 20 contributed presentations. Keynote addresses are on recent advances in non-probability surveys and in data integration methods for population censuses. They are given by professors Jean-François Beaumont (Statistics Canada), Maria del Mar Rueda (University of Granada), Li-Chun Zhang (University of Southampton; Statistics Norway; the University of Oslo) and Carl-Erik Särndal. Invited and contributed lectures are on general topics in survey statistics.
